Massive Van Savings

It seems that some of the main van manufacturers are almost giving away their used vans! Some of the current prices have dropped so much that I am even thinking of purchasing another! The title that these new waves of discounts are bringing is the ‘Van-uary’ sales. Yes I know it is terrible but don’t shoot the messenger! Citing Vauxhall as an example, they are offering buyers up to nearly £8,000 off certain models within their commercial vehicles range. Also, these are not just any old vans that are being offered are some of the award winning vans and even some of the newer range, which presents an even greater value. Specific savings are being offered for the Vivaro, Astravan and Corsavan models, which as we know are some of the more popular choices among van enthusiasts. As with any great offer being promoted by the manufacturers they are for a limited time only (January 2008). However, my thinking is that with everything that has happened within the industry this year, it won’t be much of a surprise to see an extension to this offer period. In fact, personally I can see 2009 being full of promotional offers by the main players simply because the country will still be coming to terms with the so called economic downfall and so in order to entice customers, companies like Vauxhall will have to provide a big enough inventive. Whatever happens though, the thinking behind such discounts is to sell vans that maybe could not be sold for their usual sale price. The reality of achieving new business in the first quarter of 2009 though may be very different if the trend of saving money after the festive season follows its usual trend.
